SHOWING SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE

Last Friday, the English Department organized the projection of Slumdog Millionaire, the story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbay, who is one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India´s "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" He is arrested under the suspicion of cheating, and while being interrogated, events from his life history are shown which explain why he knows the answers.

The picture was shown in original version subtitled. It was organized as part of our curricular activities in the classroom for 2nd year ESO.  It is a very touching film and children loved it.
