At the Council of Europe´s initiative, the European Day of Languages has been celebrated every year since 2001 on 26 September.
With the conviction that linguistic diversity is the best tool for achieving greater cultural understanding, the English Department of our school conmmemorates this day with the annual organization of a contest.
This year, participants had to face the difficulty of False Friends in different languages. The contest was run on Edmodo, a format which, according to numbers, was obviously more attractive to students and teachers.
Yesterday, the ten participants who managed to match all the words with their correct meanings were called to the Principal office to get their prizes and/or their certificates.
