HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT KILLS TEACHER WITH A CROSSBOW
One person has died and four others have been injured after a 13-year-old student armed with a crossbow and a dagger burst into a high school in Barcelona.
The victim was a substitute teacher who was covering social sciences classes for a colleague. Three of the four people injured are now being treated in the Hospital Sant Pau in Barcelona, and are reported to be in a stable condition.
The incident took place on Monday morning at the Joan Fuster school, located in Ferran Reyes square in La Sagrera neighborhood.
The youngster was also carrying a pellet gun and a rucksack containing material that could be used to make a petrol bomb.
Because of his age, the perpetrator will not be charged for the offenses under Spanish law, and could not even be arrested.
The teacher who was killed had been at the school for less than two weeks.

EXCHANGE WITH RGS WORCESTER
One more year our school has organized an exchange with the ROYAL GRAMMAR SCHOOL from Worcester , England.
Our students visited the school last March. Things went perfectly well , just as usual . However this year we were ever so lucky with the British weather !!
The British host families did their best to make us feel at home. Our students really enjoyed their stay in England.
Today we have said goodbye to our English partners. Time has flown away really quickly. The RGS students arrived in Zaragoza last 7 April.
They have also enjoyed a week full of activities and visits and an awfully wonderful Spanish weather.
The Spanish families have been ever so helpful and have made things really easy for our British children.
Hopefully , a new exchange will take place next year again. Ask your English teachers for information because the experience is really worth it!

Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day
Shrove Tuesday -also known as Pancake Day-is the day before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. The word "Shrove" stems from the Old English word "shrive", meaning "to obtain absolution for one´s sins through confession and penance". Thus Shrove Tuesday gets its name from the custom of Christians to be "shriven" before the start of Lent.
It is also called Pancake Day because it is the day traditionally for eating pancakes, as this was the way of using up the stocks of milk, butter and eggs which were forbidden during the abstinence of Lent.
Like many other festivities it has a pagan origin. It is an analogous tradition to the tradition of Carnival which developed separately in countries of Latin Europe.
On Pancake Day "pancake races" are held in villages and town all over Britain. Participants with frying pans race trough streets tossing pancakes into the air and catching them back in the pan while running.
